VOICETHREADS

Voice threads are a great way to do tutorials for a certain topic.  My example was proving the Pythagorean Theorem.  You can click on the image to view the voicethread.  My voicethread takes the viewer step-by-step through the process of proving the theorem.  The nice thing about voicethread is the idea that not only can I record my voice instructions with accompanying slides, I can also draw on the slides to show the viewer what I mean.  Another use for voicethread is showing how to correct a math problem by circling certain parts that are wrong and doing the corrections on the slide.  I plan on using voicethreads to review or teach new lessons when I am away from my class and have a substitute in my place.  Such a great tool for teachers!  You can get started on a voicethread by going to the Voicethread website.
